On August 31, Nemaha Valley High School's National Honor Society hosted the annual Powder Puff Football game at 7:00 p.m. Powder puff gave the junior girls an opportunity to play flag football against the senior girls as the boys from both classes acted as coaches, cheerleaders, and announcers, while a few sophomore boys were the referees.
The outcome of the game resulted with the seniors taking another win at a score of 27-15. Over $400 was raised for the BIGS in Schools program. BIGS is an organization at Nemaha Valley where high school students are paired with elementary school students to serve as mentors once a week before school.
