Constitution of Nemaha Valley Booster Club
Section I – Name and Purpose
The name of this club shall be the Nemaha Valley Booster Club. The purpose shall be to create enthusiasm and interest in all extra-curricular activities or events, to stimulate and promote good citizenship and sportsmanship, to help the faculty and administration in any way feasible that will make Nemaha Valley School better.
Section II – Membership
All parents whose children attend Nemaha Valley High School District #442, are members.
Section III – Officers
The officers of this club shall consist of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Asst. Secretary, Treasurer, and Asst. Treasurer. It shall be the duty of the President to reside over the meetings of the club. The Vice President shall fill the chair of the President in his/her absence. The Secretary shall keep the minutes of the meetings and a record of all business. The Treasurer shall receive and disburse all funds of the club and keep an accurate account of receipts and disbursements. Outgoing officers each year are President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Vice President, Asst. Secretary, and Asst. Treasurer will move up to these positions for the next year. Nominations for incoming officers will be accepted up to one week before elections. Any office with no nominations will be found by the present officers.
Section IV – Meetings
The regular meeting of this club shall be determined by the officers discretion and notice will be given either by school calendar or thru the media of the Courier Tribune. All meetings shall be open meetings and shall be held under the discretion of the President or her successor.
Section V – Amendments
This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the club members present, provided that the proposed amendments has been approved by the club president and officers, and that notice to members has been given at least one week prior to the meeting at which it is to be voted upon.
Section VI – Expenses
For each extra curricular activity a set amount will be designated at the beginning of each year. Any expenses exceeding that amount, must be approved by Booster Club officers prior to purchase.
