If you would like your son or daughter to attend Preschool or Kinderprep program at Nemaha Valley Elementary School, please contact the school office at 336-2173. Space is still available. There will be no monthly charge or enrollment fee for students. Out of district students will be accepted upon approval of an application and available space. There is a small quarterly snack fee and mill fee. Both of these may be waived or reduced upon meeting financial guidelines.
Nemaha Valley Elementary and Middle School will celebrate Pi Day on March 12, 2010. Pi Day is typically celebrated on March 14 since the number value of pi begins 3.14. Each year, the sixth through the eighth graders make pies with the assistance of grandparents, moms, or other relatives. Last year the students made over 100 pies that they sold and donated the money. This year the profit from the pies will be donated to “Coins for a Cause”, a local organization that raises money to help cancer patients in the area with medical expenses. If you would like to donate canned fruit, Crisco sticks, or flour, please contact the school office. Also, if you would like to purchase pie, just call the office at 336-2173.
March 24: This is the first day of track practice. Also, there is a parent meeting at 5:15 for all athletes who are going out for track.
March 25: The Nemaha Valley Middle School band will participate in the OTL Band Concert at Centralia at 7:00 p.m.
