Band Takes Trip to San Antonio

On December 30, 2009, the NVHS band left for San Antonio, TX, to play in the Alamo Bowl. They departed from Seneca, KS at 12:30 A.M., and arrived at the Marriot at 4:00 P.M. From there, they went to the River Walk. On the 31st of December, the Jazz Band performed at the Antonian College Preparatory High School. Then shortly after their performance, the concert band preformed. At 8:00 P.M. the students went to a dinner, dance, and awards ceremony.  On January 1, 2010, they had the first mass band rehearsal at the Alamo Stadium. The band also went to Six Flags. On the 2nd of January, they had the final mass band rehearsal at the Alamo Stadium and the Alamo Dome. At 8:00 P.M. the Alamo Bowl football game kicked off. On January 3, 2010, the band and sponsors checked out and headed  for home.
