Celebrating Our Veterans

On November 12th, Seneca Grade School and Nemaha Valley Junior High celebrated Veterans’ Day by walking in a parade. The American Legion Harley Riders lead the parade up Main Street. The ceremony took place at the corner of 5th and Main. Mrs. McKernan welcomed everyone and Ray Rottinghaus led a prayer. As a group, everyone said the Pledge of Allegiance. On your mark... Get set... GO! The Nemaha Valley freshmen technical living class with Mr. Bruce Stanley could be heard racing their cars through the gym. I Like Me

Mrs. Brenda Meyer, a representative of 1st National Bank of Seneca, visited the Seneca Grade School Kindergarten class.  The bank sponsored the "I Like Me" books and presented each Kindergarten student with their own copy of the book.  The students enjoyed the book and were very appreciative of the gift.   read more
